In San Juan Capistrano we have our own brand of authentic old-west style melodrama. In fact our melodramas have been thrilling audiences each season for decades ... where everyone joins in the fun by cheering the hero, booing the villain and tossing the occasional foam "rock" at that vile and reprehensible scoundrel. So ... if you are prepared to turn back the pages of your calendar and would like a hilarious time that appeals to all ages. Click the link below to find out more about this great American Theatre Art and then purchase tickets for our 2010 production of the Melodrama San Juan's Dirty Laundry ... which celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Playhouse in San Juan Capistrano. If one melodrama is just not enough for you ... we are adding a Shakespearean Melodrama to our Summer Shakespeare Festival.

Each year the Capistrano Center for the
Performing Arts hosts an evening extravaganza to
showcase the talents of local and Broadway talent
while raising funds for the future growth of the
Playhouse facilities in San Juan Capistrano. In 2009 the CCPA partnered with the spectacular
Vintage Restaurant in the San Juan Depot
for a progressive dinner and entertainment event.
The meal was sumptuous, there was a
silent auction, a life auction and entertainment
galore. If you missed the event and would still like
to contribute to the future growth of
performing arts in San Juan ... click on
our Donation Link above. We will be
adding additional fundraising opportunities
in the future and will be announcing the
availability of tickets for Broadway Under the Stars
for 2010 ... so come back when you can.
